MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Tennessee Tech holds a four-shot lead in the team standings and Golden Eagle sophomore Eric Anderson is the individual co-leader heading into the final round of the Greg Palmer Eagle Classic, being hosted by Morehead State University.

Coach Bobby Nichols' team had strong play throughout the lineup as all five players are among the top 15 after 36 holes Monday on the Eagle Trace Golf Course. Tech shot 285 over the first round and improved a couple strokes to 283 in the second round for a 568 team total.

That's good for a four-shot edge over Murray State (572) in the eight-team field that features five Ohio Valley Conference teams. John A. Logan College is in third place (579), followed by Eastern Kentucky (588), Southern Illinois (596), Morehead State (597), Lipscomb (605) and Kentucky State (733).

Anderson shot a 71 in the opening round and followed with a five-under-par 67 in the second tour of the course for a 138, putting him in a tie with Murray State's Kyle Shirley for the individual lead. Sophomore Jonathan Cox shot 70-73--143 for seventh place, while freshman Braxton Hunter managed a 74-70--144 for eight place.

Junior Ryan Greer is tied for 10th place after shooting 72-73--145, while senior Jason Cox is tied for 15th with a 72-75--147. Sophomore Polk Brown, competing individually, shot 77-71--148 and is tied for 18th place.

The final 18 holes on the 6,902-yard, par 72 course got underway Tuesday at 8 a.m. The tournament is the final action of the regular season as the teams prepare for the OVC Championship in Paducah, Ky., April 28-30.
