TWRC Elects New Officers including Cookeville man

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission (TWRC) elected new officers at their February commission meeting held in Nashville on February 20, 2003.
New officers for 2003 are Commissioner George Akans, Jr., Knoxville, TN (Chairman of the TWRC), Commissioner Hugh T. "Skip" Simonton, Jr., Covington, TN (Vice-Chairman) and Commissioner Michael Gaw, Cookeville,TN (Secretary).
The TWRC is the governing body of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and is made up of private citizens appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and the Speaker of the House.
The next scheduled meeting of the TWRC will be in Nashville on March 19 & 20, 2003, at TWRA's Region II Office. All sportsmen and interested parties are encouraged to attend.
