After reading the artical and watching the video on TV, I've come to the conclusion if it is normal police policy to shoot family dogs that aproach them with no intent on harming the officer, which I understand that's my opinion, but clear shows on the video that the dog had no intention of attacking.

Then I would strongly think this policy needs to be consider to be revise.
